The Challenge
Orders by phone. No stock visibility. No system.
TRE-AL distributes auto parts to service shops, resellers, and retail customers across Albania. Before this platform, every order was placed by phone. Staff had no real-time view of stock, no order history, and no way to give customers accurate availability information.
Pricing was handled manually, with different rates for different customer types applied inconsistently. There was no way to notify customers when stock was low or an order changed status. Managing 33,910 SKUs across multiple brands and cross-reference systems was done without any dedicated tooling.
KRENA was brought in to build a complete solution: a B2B storefront for customers and a management layer for the TRE-AL team, both running on the same platform.
What We Built
Six systems, one platform
Order Management
A unified order dashboard tracking both POS and online channels, with statuses across the full fulfilment lifecycle: Pending, Received, Shipped, and Completed. Staff can filter, search, and export orders. Supplier orders are managed separately.
Real-Time Inventory
Every product shows total, reserved, and available stock in real time. Sale and purchase prices are tracked per line. Low-stock alerts fire automatically when items fall below minimum levels, so the team always knows what needs replenishing before it becomes a problem.
Customer Storefront
A fast, searchable B2B shop with 33,910 products across alternators, starters, bearings, ignition parts, and more. Products are browsable by category, searchable by code, brand, OEM number, or cross-reference. Each product page shows full specs, barcode, dimensions, weight, and a list of compatible cross-references across MAN, SCANIA, MERCEDES, BOSCH, and other major brands.
Role-Based Pricing & Discounts
Three customer tiers: Customer (0%), Service (10%), and Store (20%) — each receive automatic discounts without any manual steps. Managers can override with custom discounts per customer or per category. The discount hierarchy is enforced by the system: custom overrides take precedence, then role discounts.
Homepage Editor
A visual storefront editor that lets the team build and rearrange the customer-facing homepage without touching code. Sections include product carousels with auto-fill from the catalogue, hero banners, grids, and announcement bars.
Support Chat
Real-time WebSocket-based messaging between customers and shop staff, built directly into the platform. Incoming conversations appear in a shared inbox with assignment, so no enquiry goes unanswered.

Technical Approach
Production-grade from day one.
The backend is built with Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.2, a deliberate choice for a system that needs to handle complex business rules, role-based permissions, and a large product catalogue reliably. 44 Flyway migrations track every schema change. 28 API controllers across 19 domain modules handle the full surface area.
A custom async import pipeline ingests supplier catalogues of 32,000+ products without blocking the main application. Products carry OEM numbers, barcode, dimensions, and cross-reference mappings to major brands, making the search function genuinely useful in a trade context.
Auth is JWT-based with Google OAuth support. The roles system uses a GRANT/REVOKE override model so fine-grained permissions can be applied without touching code. Redis handles caching. The whole stack is containerised with Docker, deployed to Hetzner, and monitored via Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana.

The Result
Phone calls replaced by a working platform
TRE-AL went from zero digital infrastructure to a fully operational B2B platform in roughly four months. Orders that previously required a phone call can now be placed online, tracked in real time, and managed through a single dashboard. Pricing is applied automatically based on customer role. Stock levels are visible to staff at all times.
This is the kind of project KRENA is built for: a business with a clear operational problem, no existing system, and a need for something that actually works in production. Not a prototype. A product that the team uses every day.
Building a B2B platform or internal tool?
TRE-AL shows what KRENA delivers when a business needs custom software built from scratch. If you have a process that is currently held together by spreadsheets, phone calls, or manual steps, we know how to replace it with something that scales.
